About the volunteering opportunity
The Askanierring reception center in Berlin-Spandau is looking for gardening enthusiasts to help us design and maintain the garden from spring onwards. The facility has a large garden that has a lot of potential and just needs a little help from passionate gardeners.
Your Tasks
Take a look at the garden, bring ideas and a passion for gardening.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
Interest in gardening. Experience is an advantage, but not a requirement!
Time required
Once
Volunteers can determine the time frame themselves - anything is possible by arrangement!
Important notice
The open office hours of the volunteer coordination is on Mondays between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm (there may be waiting times). Other appointments are arranged individually.Required documents:
- Extended certificate of good conduct (free of charge for volunteers; we can take care of the application on request).
- Proof of immunization against measles (for persons born after 1969).

The facility in Askanierring is a first accommodation for refugees who are new in Berlin. Temporary accommodation can accommodate up to 250 people of all ages and from different countries of origin.
