About the volunteering opportunity

We need help in the clothing store of Freund statt fremd in Neuerbstraße 18, Bamberg. The association has a donation room for clothes, shoes, bed linen and towels (clothing store "Jacke wie Hose"). There, donations are issued to refugees and the need is just very high.

You will assist us in accepting, sorting and issuing clothing.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.

It would be great if we had at least one person on site per shift who speaks Ukrainian or Russian.

Since we rely on volunteers, it is important that the people who have signed up for shifts actually come, or at least sign off well in advance so that we can look for replacements.

An alliance of freund statt fremd, Bamberg:UA, Bamberg Short Film Festival team and Volunteer Center CariThek.
We take care of initial shelters, donations in kind and clothing, as well as donations of time such as interpreting, childcare, assistance in the clothing stores.
