Become part of the welcome team at the main station and take care of the first aid of refugees Bi_PoC from Ukraine

On the 28th February 2022 black and brown organizations as well as individuals decided to

form our coalition so we can put this horror to an end. Bi_PoC and white volunteers joined us on this mission.

Ever since then we provided support for people of African descent, Bi_PoC, white people who have a black family, children and their families as well as pregnant people of all ethnicities. The project is focused on people of African descent and has the most ressources for them. We provide them with:

• access to evacuations 
• shelter 
• medical treatment 
• psychological counseling
• child care
• food 
• clothes and hygiene products
• legal advice
• a community

Your Tasks

You can support the team at the main station with the following activities:

•  Hbf team: greeting Bi_PoC who arrive at Berlin main station, providing them with Covid tests, handing out information to them about our organisation and essential ressources | no specific qualifications needed
• drivers: driving our guests from the main station to Dammweg 216 and from there to hosts, as well as providing especially vulnerable people with local lifts and helping us with transport of item donations | driver's license is needed

Time required

We work at Dammweg 216 in 4h shifts. Write us for specific time arrangements gladly a message.

We have existed so far as an emergency response to Bi_PoC fleeing war in Ukraine but being left behind in all exspects of this humanitarian crisis.In Ukraine, all European countries and in the US they get the help they would need denied.
