Support a French-speaking woman with refugee background

For a female refugee who is struggling with health problems, we are looking for a female volunteer who could take care of her. The idea is to visit the woman regularly, talk to her, befriend her, see if she needs anything - in general, take care of this woman and report any problems to our social workers.

Since this woman comes from a French-speaking African country, it would be perfect if the volunteer knew the french language at a communicative level.

Previous medical knowledge or skills are not necessary - it is much more about a spiritual support.

Time required

Support is needed regularly, at least once a week, but the more often the better. Both during the week and on weekends and holidays.

Important notice

• Proof of measles vaccination
• in the accommodation the 3G rule applies
• extended certificate of good conduct (free of charge for volunteers; we can take over the application)

The facility in Askanierring is a first accommodation for refugees who are new in Berlin. Temporary accommodation can accommodate up to 250 people of all ages and from different countries of origin.
