Our family center Weit.Blick in Berlin-Lichtenberg includes various offers of family education and support, a kindergarten and a church. For the in-house project "Alliance for Families with Weit.Blick" we are looking for volunteers to take care of children.
Activity: You support and relieve families by supervising the children of primarily single mothers and fathers while the parents participate in individual or group counseling sessions. To do this, you play with the children in a separate part of the room where the counseling takes place. This allows the parents to focus on the counseling while you engage with the children and spend time together. In coordination with the kindergarten staff, you will support specific activities in the daily kindergarten routine, such as reading children's books aloud to individual children or small groups of children.
Requirements: First experience in the educational field is required. The minimum age for this honorary position is 18 years. Because it is an honorary position with children, an extended certificate of good conduct according to § 30a BZRG for purposes according to § 72a SGB VIII for volunteers is required. There are no costs for this. In addition, proof of measles vaccination is required if you were born after 1970.
Time commitment: if possible 2-3 hours a week. We would like a regular commitment.
When: By arrangement, in the period Mon-Fri 9-18h, in exceptional cases also in the evening
