About the volunteering opportunity
The inclusion organisation "Komm & Sieh" runs four second-hand neighbourhood shops, the TEXTILHAFEN with material pool, the upcycling label WaterToWine, the Re-Use Centre in the House of Materialisation, the logistics kitchen and helps with professional flat clearances. The proceeds from "Komm & Sieh" support the social projects of the Berlin City Mission.
As the upcycling label "WaterToWine", we design and produce promotional items and giveaways from used locally-sorted textiles.

Your Tasks
Activity: Together in a team of full-time and volunteers you support the upcycling label "WaterToWine" by creating new cuts, contributing to product development and sewing activities. You will help to prepare workshops and support the implementation afterwards. Here you will take on organizational tasks, but you can also be responsible for your own areas and assist with external communication.
What's needed
What we look for: You like to sew and be creative. You find the upcycling of products as useful as we do and are happy when textiles get a new function. You like to work together in a team.
Requirements: For this volunteer position you need basic knowledge of the German language. The minimum age for this volunteer position is 16 years. As an integration company, we are concerned about the protection of our employees, some of whom belong to the risk group. For this reason you should be vaccinated against Corona.
Time required
When: Monday to Thursday, by arrangement
Time commitment: We would like a regular commitment. 3- 5 hours a week.
