We are looking for anti-poverty and food rescue volunteers.
We are looking for drivers and co-drivers to drive our Mercedes Sprinter to supermarkets and discount stores in Düsseldorf to rescue food. In the supermarkets you sort on the spot the provided food and load it. Once the route has been completed and all the food has been loaded, you drive to the Tafel distribution point and other social institutions and unload the food there. With the empty car it goes then back to the Tafel center.
Empathy, ability to work in a team, good physical condition, experienced and safe driver (driver's license), enjoy volunteering
It would be great if you could regularly spare one morning a week (about 6 hours) or every two weeks.
We start at 8:00 am and a tour usually goes until 1:00/14:00 pm.
The Tafel Düsseldorf is committed to fighting poverty and helping people in need, and is constantly striving to prevent the destruction of perfectly good food.
