Crisis counselor for children and young people in the crisis chat

Do you want to help children and young people in crisis situations in a low-threshold and professional way? With the krisenchat, qualified volunteers from the fields of psychology, psychotherapy, social work and social pedagogy offer an anonymous contact point. The chat is available around the clock.

To offer children and young people in crisis situations a low-threshold, professional digital support service and to help ensure that mental health is no longer a taboo subject.

To ensure our quality in counseling in the long term, we can advise people with an academic degree in the following subjects:

• Completed bachelor's degree in psychology or bachelor student:in with additional qualification or intensive counseling experience (no mandatory internships)
• Psychotherapist:in training or completed in the procedures recognized under the psychotherapy guidelines
• Doctors:inside with additional qualification psychotherapy
• Teachers:inside and educators:inside with additional counseling experience
• Social workers:inside and social pedagogues:inside with state recognition
• After individual examination also other, similar backgrounds with very intensive psychosocial counseling experience

 Also students at the end of their studies are most welcome with us and can already make first counseling experiences in a protected space!

In addition, we require that all crisis counselors have a PC and are trained in its use. Counseling from a mobile device (e.g. tablet or cell phone) is generally not possible.

Should you decide for this commitment, we expect the assumption of 2 shifts per month (= 4 hours) and the active participation in supervision and feedback meetings.

The start process at the beginning, which consists of a familiarization interview, the e-learning, the reading of some accompanying materials and the mentoring, should be completed stringently and without major breaks. We assume a maximum of 3 months. So please be clear about this and make sure you have the necessary capacities for it at the moment.

An extended certificate of good conduct is necessary for the exercise of the honorary office.
