About the volunteering opportunity
As the German Rheumatism League Berlin e.V., we are committed to helping people with rheumatic diseases. Rheumatism can actually affect anyone: senior citizens as well as children and (young) adults are affected and suffer from severe joint pain and restricted mobility. As a self-help organization, we offer our support with our wide range of exercise and advice services.
Our member support service is often the first point of contact for people with rheumatic diseases. Our employees and volunteers refer callers to our social counseling centers or help them find a place on a course.

Your Tasks
- Supporting full-time employees and assisting with organizational and administrative tasks
- Telephone advice and provision of initial information about Rheuma League Berlin services
- Maintenance of our database
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- You have a friendly, open demeanor, enjoy working with people and are communicative.
- You are interested in new tasks and enjoy working independently.
- You have experience in advisory activities or flexibility with regard to a variety of conversational situations.
- You are confident and have basic computer skills.

On weekdays, during the day
Member support works weekly from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 13:00. The possible assignments are discussed individually depending on personal interests.

In addition, you are covered by our liability and accident insurance and can take part in free excursions and events.

"Rheumatism" is a serious form of disease in many facets. In Germany, almost 17 million people suffer from a rheumatic disease.
Everyone can be affected: from children, to teenagers to younger or older adults.
As a registered association "German Rheumatism League Berlin", we offer those affected help to help themselves. At the center of our work are the four actions: movement, advice, meeting and accompaniment. We support, advise and accompany those affected with a variety of offers as close to home as possible in all districts of Berlin
