About the volunteering opportunity

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to train and/or coach youth teams of different age groups in football. 

Your Tasks

In the context of the Corona crisis, there are less and less sport activities for children. This is why our club TuS Mecklenheide has created 3 new youth teams. And more are to follow. For this we need committed youth coaches who enjoy football, working with children and family club life. 

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
Volunteers should enjoy working with children and have fun playing football. It is not decisive whether they already have experience as a youth coach. The club is happy to support the volunteers, for example, through coaching courses in this area. 

For a commitment as a youth coach an extended certificate of good conduct must be submitted.

The training sessions can be arranged individually together with the team. The match days can take place on weekends as well as during the week.

TuS Mecklenheide v. 1911 e.V.

The TuS Mecklenheide von 1911 e.V. already exists for 110 years as a gymnastics and sports club in the north of Hannover. Currently, the TuS Mecklenheide offers a variety of sports for its members. With a total of 3 men's teams, 5 youth teams, 2 old men's teams and 1 women's team, the soccer section is the largest section within TuS Mecklenheide. The flagship is our 1st men with participation in the district league. In addition to soccer, a fitness area has been under construction since 2020. Here, courses are offered for mobilization and to increase strength-endurance. But also temporary actions complement the offer of TuS Mecklenheide. So there are recurring eSports tournaments, youth tournaments and dance events. All this takes place in our green oasis in the heart of Hannover-Ledeburg. A special feature are the numerous trees that frame the club grounds. A children's playground is available as well as a clubhouse with dance hall and a forecourt with barbecue hut.
