About the volunteering opportunity
The integration company "Komm & Sieh" ("Come and have a look") runs four second-hand neighborhood stores, the TEXTILHAFEN with our material warehouse, the upcycling label WaterToWine, the Re-Use Center in the House of Materialization and the logistics kitchen. Additionally we take part in professional apartment liquidations.
In our neighborhood store in Malmöer Straße in Prenzlauer Berg is very colorful - a wide variety of people come together. The store, run by a warm-hearted and welcoming team, has been an integral part of the neighborhood for years.
Your Tasks
Depending on your skills, you price clothes and household goods, cashier or ensure order in the store. You take care of the concerns of our customers and keep an overview over the store.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
What we are looking for: You are willing to work regularly and reliably. You enjoy keeping the store tidy and organized. You enjoy being part of a motivated team and are independent. In addition, you enjoy personal contact with our multicultural customer base beyond mere sales activities - and are also willing to lend an open ear to concerns and needs from time to time.
Time required
When: Monday - Friday from 12 - 6 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m
Time required: 1-2 x per week, 6 hours
Important notice
You are at least 16 years old. You can communicate well in German. English can also be helpful, but is not a prerequisite.
Expected attitude: You are convinced that every person is given inalienable dignity. You are respectful of the Christian faith as well as other religions and world views.
