Support the Tafel Cologne as warehouse manager and/or warehouse assistant

We are looking for a warehouse manager and/or warehouse assistant. The activity takes place in our (high rack) warehouse in Cologne Rodenkirchen. A detailed description and coordination of the tasks will take place in a personal interview.

Your Tasks

Duties include approximately the following:

• Warehouse management
• Clearing in and out of the high rack
• Monitoring the best before dates (BBD) of food
• Clearing in and out of cold storage
• Clearing in delivered goods
• Preparing goods for the next day
• Sorting goods
• Contact with the office
• Contact with the other warehouse workers

What's needed

Experience in and enjoyment of warehouse management. Friends to work with the most under appreciated colleagues.

A forklift driver's license would be an advantage.

Time required

The working hours are daily from about 14:30 - 16:30.

The Tafel in Cologne is an indispensable social institution in the Cologne help system, which has made it its mission to help people in need with the most natural: with food, attention and solidarity. Although there are many people in Cologne who are concerned about their daily nutrition, huge amounts of food are thrown away every day. This is exactly where our volunteers help. They collect tons of donated food from supermarkets, bakeries and manufacturers and distribute it to needy people.
