About the volunteering opportunity

In the JOBLINGE program, we support young, unemployed people who are looking for training. Some have migration and flight history, others come from difficult backgrounds or had a stroke of fate during their school years, which is why basic math, German or English skills are missing. To make them fit for vocational school, we are looking for YOU!

Your Tasks

  • You train once a week with a group of 5 to 12 young adults between 16 and 25 years their German skills.
  • The target group is very heterogeneous in terms of their level of knowledge; it is mainly about refreshing basic skills (eg: German: spelling, capitalization, lower case; e.g.: English: conversation class on different topics: art, music, politics or job-related; e.g.: Math: rule of three, percentages, mental arithmetic, units of measurement).

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

  • You should bring patience and be able to explain in simple language.
  • Ideal, of course, if you yourself enjoy math and/or German language and you could bring concrete examples from practice.
  • Pedagogical practical experience or experience as a tutor would be an advantage, but are not mandatory.

Time required

Regularly
Approx. 1 hour per week.
During the day

The training would be 1 x per week and should always be Wednesdays between 12 pm and 03 pm . The exact times can be determined in consultation. The weekly training should ideally last one hour and 15 minutes .

Important notice

A hospitation in advance would be possible. :)
