About the volunteering opportunity
For the water rescue service at the Allersee we are looking for energetic emergency personnel, who support us during the watch season from the beach and on water, in order to ensure the safety of the visitors of the Allersee.
A specific training is offered by us.
Your Tasks
Our main task at Allersee is, among other things, to ensure the security of events in and around the water (e.g. regattas and triathlon) and, above all, to protect the population from drowning.
What's needed
- Physical fitness
- No non-swimmers!
- DRSA Lifeguard Silver (training is possible through us)
- Team ability
- Minimum age 16 years
Time required
Normally, the water rescue service at Allersee takes place in the watch season from April to October. The occupation of our guard station takes place on weekends in the time of 09:00 - 18:00. Individual deployment times are possible here, as we are happy about every helping hand.

DLRG Ortsgruppe Wolfsburg e.V.
Through its members and branches, the DLRG forms the largest, voluntary and leading water rescue organization in Germany and the world. In it, all members and branches find a voluntary and humanitarian society for the prevention of drowning.
Our most important core tasks include the:
- education about dangers in and around water
- training in swimming and lifeguarding as well as self-rescue
- further qualification of lifeguards for training and deployment
- organization and implementation of a comprehensive water rescue service
- youth work and the promotion of young talent
