Implementation of workshops to support local politicians

Municipal politicians are increasingly exposed to hostility. The stress can even lead to resignation from office. In our workshops, we prepare them for the right way to deal with hate and violence. For this we are looking for

volunteers to conduct workshops to support local politicians

Online, at face-to-face events close to home after coordination.

Your Tasks

• Introduction to the subject "Hate and Violence against Local Politicians* and our workshop formats 
• Conduction of digital workshops: Facilitation and communication of information
• Follow-up: feedback and further development of workshop formats
• Optional further activities of the association such as research, public relations, etc.

What's needed

• Enthusiasm (and basic understanding) for politics and our liberal, democratic system
• Interest in the topic area of prevention of hate and violence against local politicians
• Team spirit, communication skills and enjoyment in dealing with people
• Experience with digital applications such as Zoom, Google Drive etc.
• Since we mainly work together digitally, a notebook/PC with a working camera and microphone is a mandatory requirement.

Time required

• Flexible timing: each activity will be coordinated in advance (and should fit personal scheduling)
• Flexible scope: we want a long-term commitment and take into account that availabilities can change
• Conducting a workshop: about 3 hours in the evening during the week, dates irregular

This project is location independent.

Our association offers concrete support for people in local politics against hate and violence, for example through targeted initial information or sensitization workshops. With the support of politicians in the local environment, we work for the preservation and strengthening of our democratic system.
