About the volunteering opportunity
The terminal care, which is carried out in our association by full-time staff and volunteers, is funded by health insurance companies.
This does not apply to grief counseling (support for the bereaved) and all counseling sessions. Every year we accompany about 30-40 grieving people and are dependent on donations and foundation contributions for this activity.
Also the personnel costs for our very valuable office worker are not covered by the funding.
We would like support in researching new sources of funding - gladly in cooperation with the coordinator and the board of the association.
Your Tasks
Researching suitable foundations
Creating foundation applications and appeals for donations - also on donation portals
What's needed
Interest and heart for the topics of our hospice association (serious illness, dying, mourning and support of people in illness-related crises)
Good networking with board and full-time staff in the association - also online
Knowledge of fundraising
Time required
Flexible times, by arrangement
Location dependence can be waived in certain cases.
Important notice
The pure assistance in fundraising is also possible regardless of location.
Desired would be a location in the radius of no more than 100km around our hospice office in 50126 Bergheim, so that occasional meetings with the other Mitarbeiter:innen are possible.
Optimal would be a participation in the board, which is urgently looking for reinforcement. The board meets once a month, partly online. However, the activity is not necessarily connected with this office!
