Hi everyone,

We are a small non-profit from Berlin, Germany, running Squirrel News (https://squirrel-news.net/de), a free, curated app for solution-oriented news. For this purpose, we collect the most important solutions-focused news and stories from the German and English-speaking media landscape, filter them and publish our selections in compact editions via app, website and newsletter.

At the moment, we're looking for a new team member to help us with screen design / UI design, mainly for our mobile app.

Your tasks range from the selection of suitable icons and the design of app screens to the introduction of a design system and the conception of new user flows.

Completed training, further education or studies in a relevant field as well as work experience in UX/UI or app/screen design incl. work samples.

If possible, good knowledge of English.

The average amount of work varies greatly, but also depends on your capacities. 1.-2 hours per week would probably be good on average. When working on new functions, it can be significantly more, but then again significantly less. Often there is nothing to do for weeks or you can take a break.
