About the volunteering opportunity

As part of the foundation fundraising team, you can provide our projects in Togo with the capital they need to be realized. Foundations give us the opportunity to fund a larger project in one fell swoop. There are thousands of foundations that want to get rid of their money, but to match them with our valuable projects, we need you! In addition, we regularly offer prizes, which help us to gain free prize money as well as publicity. With us, you will learn how to write a convincing foundation proposal or award application with your teammates and how to communicate with public and private foundations.

Your Tasks

What tasks are waiting for you?

  • Research: You search for potential foundations, expand our foundation register and find perfect matches between the foundations and the different subprojects within our two big projects.

  • Project conception: Our partner association first has a rough plan of a subproject to be financed, you work out a detailed project and cost plan together with them, which is convincing for German foundations.

  • Communication: you take over e.g. the initial contact with foundations and stay in contact with the responsible persons during the project and beyond.

  • Writing: You will be actively involved in writing the proposal or application.

  • Teamwork: You assist in building and maintaining the foundation fundraising team. You will also work with the board and the team in Togo on project conception and drafting of application documents.
