About the volunteering opportunity

We are looking for committed people (between the ages of 16 and 30) to answer senior citizens' questions about their smartphones.

  • Are you open and helpful?
  • Do you enjoy getting to know other young people?
  • You like explaining things to others?
  • You enjoy spending time with senior citizens?
  • You know a bit about different apps and applications on your smartphone?
Then you've come to the right place!

Your Tasks

Together with other volunteers, you will support senior citizens in the use of smartphones/tablets and answer their questions.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
You should

  • have a basic knowledge of apps and applications on the smartphone.
  • be open and communicative.
  • enjoy explaining and working with senior citizens.

Time required

Regularly
Approx. 1 hour per month.
On weekdays, during the day
Help older people discover the digital world!
Are you between 16 and 30 years old? At youngcaritas Munich's smartphone consultation hour, you can show older people how to use smartphones, tablets and the like. Don't be afraid of questions or problems - together we'll explain WhatsApp, Wi-Fi and more. Join in and become a technology hero of the generations!

Once a month we are guests at the Solln retirement and service center with the smartphone consultation hour.
