About the volunteering opportunity
In the former Hotel Kopernikus in Friedrichshain is a shared accommodation for refugees (partly from Ukraine). 150-180 people get here a safe accommodation, food and can take advantage of other assistance.
At the moment our pedagogue in child care is looking for supporters!
Your Tasks
Play, do handicrafts and look after the children living in the "Kopernikus" house on site.
What's needed
To communicate well in the team, knowledge of German is very helpful. The minimum age for this volunteer position is 18 years.
What we are looking for: You like to be part of a team and work together hand in hand. You keep a cool head even in hectic situations and have a sense for the things that need to be done. Tidiness and cleanliness and the observance of hygiene standards are a matter of course for you.
What to bring
You are vaccinated against the Corona virus or have recovered from it (maximum 90 days ago) or bring a daily negative test from an official testing center with you on each assignment. Masks are mandatory for all full-time and volunteer staff. If you were born after 1970, you must also be vaccinated against measles.
If you support us regularly (more than four times), an extended certificate of good conduct is required. There is no cost for this.
