About the volunteering opportunity
People on the move often live in collective accommodations for several years. However, more and more residents are being granted residence status. This enables them to move into their own apartment. Therefore, we are looking for people who support our residents in finding their way on the housing market.
As an organization, we offer:
- Documents to assist in the search for housing
- Insight and access to the refugee accommodation
- Opportunity for exchange for those involved
- Fixed contact person in the accommodation
- Free training
- Accident and liability insurance
Your Tasks
- Regular meetings in the accommodation by arrangement (eg. 1x weekly)
- Get an overview of the housing market (Internet, newspaper, broker, Sowon)
- Collect and prepare documents
- Send applications
- Accompany to apartment viewings
- Support with email traffic
What's needed
- Very good knowledge of German
Intercultural competence (open, unprejudiced, interested)
Time required
You meet 1 - 2 times a week. The times you meet are decided on independently.
