About the volunteering opportunity
We offer a place for people with newcomer or migration backround and all neighbors who value and want to promote intercultural exchange.
Here you can have a tea or coffee in peace and get to know other people. The café is also a good first point of contact to find out about our network and our offers. Children are welcome together with their parents. We have a foosball table, a ping pong table and a billiards room.
The Café International is open again every Sunday:
3 - 5 pm at OT Werkstattstraße 7 in Nippes
Your Tasks
We are looking for volunteers for our counter service and for the care and warm welcome of visitors.
Every 4-5 weeks or more often, you can do a shift at the counter service and support the café together with other neighbors. A "shift" as a volunteers lasts from 14.30 pm to 17.30 pm.
We are also happy about cake donations and interested people from Cologne who would like to visit the Café.

What's needed
You should enjoy meeting new people and taking care of our guests.
Time required
Each person can choose the time frame they want to volunteer in by him/herself. You could for example do a shift which lasts from 14.30 pm - 17.30 o'clock every 4-5 weeks or more often.
Important notice
If you are interested in volunteering, an extended certificate of good conduct free of charge must be applied for, as you will be in touch with children.
The café is based on donations: Everyone gives as much as she/he can and wants to give.
