Four adults who have fled from Ukraine and are now in a shelter in Frankfurt-Goldstein need assistance in every day life.
The coordination if the mentorship is carried out by the volunteer coordination of the AWO and the Diakonie.
Mainly support in communication with authorities is needed. In addition, help with orientation in everyday life and leisure activities is also welcome.
You should have sign language skills, ideally knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian sign language. However, one of the people already knows German sign language.
The AWO|FFM Volunteer Agency is located in the heart of the city and has been working with a team of 11 people since 2008 with over 500 social work institutions and arranges meaningful volunteer work in cooperation with many actors in the city. You will be informed in detail before your assignment, if necessary trained, insured and always have contact persons on site who will support you.
