About the volunteering opportunity
Bicycle capital, migration, mobility - Munich is all that and more. With our cycling courses, we want to enable women with refugee and migrant backgrounds to participate better through bicycle mobility.
In our courses, around 10 participants & 10 trainers meet and practice cycling together. At the same time, it is a meeting program and an opportunity to practice the new language. Before the courses start, our volunteers are prepared in a train-the-trainer workshop.
Your Tasks
We are looking for trainers, mechanics & women to take over childcare during the training sessions.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
You should be female, empathetic and open-minded. It is also a prerequisite that you can ride a bike.
Time required
Duration: mornings or evenings 1-2 times a week, in the cycling season from the end of April to October
The exact dates depend on the weather.
There are several cycling courses. If we find enough volunteers, we can also offer morning courses.
Flexible participation is possible. The more often you can, the better. We are also happy for you to help out occasionally.

Where?
JUNO - eine Stimme für geflüchtete Frauen
JUNO - a voice for refugee women empowers refugee women to lead a self-determined life in Germany. In the regular women's café we bring refugee women together with Munich women in mentorships, cook together, dance or organise art workshops.
