About the volunteering opportunity
The “Dr. GünterHesse” nursing home offers a home in Pankow to 80 residents with care levels I through V. We are currently looking for volunteers for our nursing home who enjoy music and singing together.
About 20 residents meet regularly for music and choir sessions. Together, they mainly sing and play well-known folk songs. For people with dementia in particular, music can be a familiar and wonderful way to evoke memories and create positive moments.
Your Tasks
You’ll support our team at music and choir gatherings and help create a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Together with the residents, you’ll sing and make music, giving them a wonderful time.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- You are at least 16 years old and reliable.
- You enjoy singing and/or playing an instrument and love making music with others.
- You enjoy spending time with older people, are a team player, and have very good German language skills (C1).
- You are available on Thursday mornings starting at 10:00 a.m. for 1.5 hours.
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 1 hour per week.
On weekdays, during the day
Every Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
