Support the team of the Wittinger Tafel in the next 6 months with the cleaning after the food distribution

In Germany, many tons of food are destroyed every day, even though they are still fit for consumption. At the same time, there are also millions of people in this country who do not have enough to eat. The food banks create a bridge between abundance and scarcity: they collect food of impeccable quality that would otherwise end up in the trash and distribute it to the socially and economically disadvantaged - free of charge or for a symbolic amount. In and around Wittingen, there are many people who live at the subsistence level. Therefore, donations and volunteer work are vital for our survival.

After the food has been sorted and distributed, we ensure cleanliness and order again.

We would be happy if you would support our team to ensure cleanliness and order at our table. Wipe down surfaces, sweep through, clean up with us and occasionally clean a sink or a toilet. Currently, the volunteers and full-time staff do this after their actual shifts and would be happy to have your cooperation.

Currently, the volunteers and full-time staff still take care of the cleaning after work. You would additionally relieve with your work and can arrange the times freely and without time pressure and discuss individually with us.

We are looking for this support initially for the next six months.
