About the volunteering opportunity

We are looking for an educational mentor for the subject English for a 11th grade student

We are looking for a motivated mentor who is willing to pass on her knowledge and support her in her learning.

The times are flexible and will be arranged between us, the meetings can take place at our facility, in the library or at home.

Your Tasks

The volunteer will meet regularly with the student to discuss her assignments, review topics and fill in gaps, and support her with learning strategies and learning planning.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
Good knowledge of English and German and experience in educational work or tutoring.

Discussed individually
The times are arranged individually with the student, if possible also at the weekend. The scope is approx. 3-5 hours per week.

Important notice

As we are a girls' club, we are primarily looking for FLINTA as volunteers.

It is also important to have an awareness of the special life situation, as well as discrimination and disadvantages of girls with a migration background.

Location

This project is location independent.

Mädchen Kultur Treff Dünja

Dünja is a place for girls and young women between 8 and 25 years from different cultures. They receive help with homework, computer training, as well as advice and support on all questions and issues of school, training, work and problems.
Here they can make friends, consolidate and develop their language skills and exchange information about religions and cultures. In addition Dünja is participation office, i.e. if girls want to change something in their Kiez, Dünja is a partner for them and supports them with activities. Parents also have their place in Dünja. Talks, counseling and women's groups are offered. Dünja has already been awarded various prizes. Among others, in 2004 with the Berlin Integration Special Award and the Integration Award of the district Mitte.
