About the volunteering opportunity
With the Hacker School, we pursue the vision that every young person should have programmed once before deciding on a professional future.
In order to make as many children and young people as possible curious about IT topics and programming, we go where we can reliably reach all young people between 11 and 18: to school. Our courses take place online almost daily at schools all over Germany and provide insights into Scratch, HMTL/CSS or Python.
Your Tasks
You can support us by running low-threshold programming courses together with other volunteers and with the support of a course leader. The courses take place over Zoom and you supervise a small group of up to six students. In addition to teaching the respective programming language, you will give an insight into your personal career and your profession.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
We provide you with a ready-made course concept designed so that you can complete the course with little preparation.
In addition, you will be prepared for the assignment in an onboarding session. For the preparation you should plan about 2 hours in total.

Our school courses take place almost daily at schools all over Germany. You can see all scheduled courses on our checkin page and simply choose the date that suits you best. You can join us as a one-time volunteer, but we are also happy about your regular engagement.

Before your first assignment, it is important that you attend a one-time onboarding session.
