About the volunteering opportunity
Shared Reading® is a non-profit literary project. Based in Berlin, we organize reading events throughout the German-speaking world that bring people of diverse backgrounds into conversation with each other about literature. Shared Reading is a proven and scientifically supported method for experiencing the positive impact of literature in an open and relaxed atmosphere.
Several thousand participants have already experienced Shared Reading® as a special way of reading together in libraries, at book fairs and literature festivals, in research institutions and hospitals, in senior centers and in social hotspots - across all cultural, social and age boundaries.
We are currently rebuilding our website and expanding our course model. We could really use a helping hand in this process.

Shared Reading gGmbH
Shared Reading® is a literature-based intervention.
Together we let stories and poems guide us and experience an effect that feels good and helps us to see ourselves and others more clearly. Doors to thoughts and feelings that make us as human beings open and we enter undiscovered paths.
With Shared Reading our mood is lifted, we are enriched and draw new energy.
Together with our partners, we form a cross-sector network that allows us to experience the beneficial effects of literary language - and thus directly and permanently touches social issues such as cultural participation, inclusion, education, health promotion and prevention.
