About the volunteering opportunity
With its volunteer base of about 85,000 volunteers, THW is unique as an agency in the field of the Federal Ministry. As a federal agency, THW organizationally belongs to the area of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and for Home Affairs. In Germany we are organized in 8 state associations, 66 regional offices and 668 local associations. The local association is Neuburg/Donau, we are subordinated with further 10 local associations to the regional office Ingolstadt. Our area of operation is not only limited to the district of Neuburg/Schrobenhausen but also far beyond these borders. We are always looking for helpers with a wide variety of interests. So you can realize your interests in the honorary office with us from the administration up to the helper in the technical platoon. The foundation is laid through basic training, which every volunteer must complete.
Your Tasks
From boat operator to media work, we offer many opportunities with us in Neuburg. There is the possibility from the helper to the leadership position.
What's needed
At least 18 years
Vaccinations Hep A and B, tetanus, diphtheria, but these can be done through the THW.

Its statutory tasks include providing technical assistance nationally as well as humanitarian aid abroad. Around 80,000 volunteers are involved in the THW on a voluntary basis.
