Support for cooking projects wanted!

In our two cooking projects, we chop, sizzle, bake and feast at elementary schools with children so that they can gain a sense of achievement in everyday school life by preparing meals together, because everyone can participate in cooking.

The goal of Plietsche Kinderküche is to create an awareness of healthy eating among elementary school students through weekly cooking classes as well as excursions and activities on the topic of nutrition. Once every six months, the children cook for their parents, who, after eating together, have the opportunity to talk to a nutrition expert about healthy eating.

Plietsche Kinderküche Willkommen is aimed at newly arrived children at elementary schools. By cooking together, they learn German in a playful way and with a sense of achievement, making their arrival easier. Plietsche Kinderküche Willkommen includes weekly cooking classes in the school kitchen, as well as excursions and a final meal at the end of the course.

Your Tasks

Do you feel like cooking with children? Then become part of Plietsche Kinderküche!

When: 1x per week from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m

Where: Wilhelmsburg, Neustadt, Altona, Sternschanze

Tasks: You cook 1x per week in a team of 2 with 10 children (3rd/4th grade)

You will receive:
- a start-up training, team meetings
- Practical experience incl. certificate of your commitment
- always available experts and a great team in a diverse association
- Compensation for expenses of 30,00 EUR per kindergarten session

If you would like to make it easier for newly immigrated children to arrive in Germany and would like to help us bring German language support from the desk to the school kitchen, then become a part of Plietsche Kinderküche Willkommen!

When: 1x a week from approx. 10:30 a.m - 01:00 p.m

Where: Neustadt, Altona, Sternschanze

Tasks: You cook 1x per week together with a pedagogical specialist of the elementary school with 10 children (3rd/4th grade)

You will receive:
- a start-up training including the basics of "German as a second language"
- Team meetings as well as material for language support and recipes
- Practical experience including a certificate of your commitment
- always available experts and a great team in a diverse association
- Compensation of 42,00 EUR per cooking

SchlauFox e.V. supports socio-economically disadvantaged children and young people on their way to education. Our volunteers supervise them in various projects in which they help the pupils to graduate from school, to gain knowledge about healthy cooking and, if they have escaped here, to find their way into the German school life.
