About the volunteering opportunity
YOOW e.V. - Yound and Old for One World
builds and supervises a project in Malawi. We have half a school, an administration house, a kindergarten and three teacher houses ... and are still building training workshops, a library, the second half of the school, a teaching kitchen.
The information and communication is via the website and social media. There we are looking for a RELIABLE support in the use of a wordpress website www.yoow.org and other media.
Our strengths are solar energy, our project has a closed sewage system and a bio-treatment plant, we do some things that are not often available in Malawi otherwise.
Your Tasks
You are creative and bring our social media presence up to date. Your ideas are important, you request photos and texts and create new posts for our website, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn, also in English, and open the door to the world for us.
You can develop a newsletter or present our exciting project in Africa in sound and vision.

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
Previous experience is helpful, but not essential. Much more important are your motivation from within, reliability and the desire to develop new ideas and learn new things.

Youngand Oldfor One World: younger and older people who want to create a fair and liveable world together. We carry out development work on the African continent in close cooperation with local partner organizations.
In Malawi, together with the Chiuno NGO, we are building the Chiuno Cultural Center, which includes a kindergarten, an elementary school and opportunities for vocational training and medical care.
YOOW was founded in 2004 and has successfully implemented projects in Sierra Leone and training programs for young refugees in Berlin since 2008.
