About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for dedicated mentors who, as part of a six-month mentoring program, will support refugees and people with immigrant backgrounds in Munich as they begin their vocational training. We offer professional, personalized support from ArrivalAid staff, as well as regular training sessions and supervision.
Your Tasks
You’ll help your mentee, for example, understand the materials from vocational school and fill out forms. You can also serve as a point of contact for the training company and support your mentee with general issues. If you have any questions, you’ll always have a designated contact person at ArrivalAid.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
You should participate in a three-hour introductory training session (in the form of a webinar) and will have the opportunity to attend free continuing education courses offered by the ArrivalAid Academy. To serve as a training mentor, you should have the time and motivation to support a mentee for about two hours per week over a period of six months.
