About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for active support in the implementation on site on the day of the event for our swap café that takes place once every one or two months on Fridays in the afternoon.
What can you expect from this volunteer position? At the exchange café, clothes and small household appliances are exchanged among each other, clothes are repaired or embellished within the framework of a repair café and people exchange ideas over coffee and cake.
Your Tasks
Generally you support the team in construction and dismantling as well as in the implementation of the exchange café.
The tasks in this volunteer position are varied and will be discussed in a previous meeting based on your interests.
The following additional tasks are possible:
- Welcome visitors to the exchange café and communicate the concept of this event
- Supervision of the clothing racks and clothing tables
- Supervision of the coffee & cake stand (distribution of coffee & cake)
What's needed
You should be open-minded and have fun getting in touch with people and consider the idea of swapping and exchanging with each other to be meaningful.
Time required
The swap café takes place once every 1 to 2 months on Friday afternoons from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The SoliNaR (Solidary Neighbours of Solidarity in the Richardkiez) is a place for mutual activities, a space for encountering and exchanging. Our intercultural cooking croup, city tours, a langue café and different art, music, theatre and literature workshops afford the opportunity to come together and get to know each other. We want to support creative potential talents in the neighbourhood of Richardkiez, give the chance to participate in city development and culture and promote solidarity in our neighbourhood. The SoliNaR is open for everyone, whether with or without migratory background, refugee or recently immigrated families, single mothers and fathers or seniors. Together we want to create a vivid place, which is fully accessible to everyone, in the Richardkiez.
