About the volunteering opportunity
We want to start a language café in our refugee accommodation in Bergkamen. It does NOT have to be a language course. Rather, an open and uncomplicated exchange should take place within the framework of a casual get-together over coffee and cookies, which will introduce the residents to the German language in a playful and rather incidental way.
By helping refugees and giving them a little break from everyday life, you are not only doing good and fulfilling a meaningful task. You will also receive a lot of gratitude... :)

As Johanniter, we are one of the largest aid organizations in Germany. The help from person to person forms the central motive of our work. We are active in refugee work throughout Germany and support people at eye level after they have fled. We want to help people who come to Germany feel welcome, find their way to a self-determined life, and actively participate in society.
