Volunteers wanted for club's own podcast

Local politicians are increasingly exposed to hostility. For our work against hate and violence, we are looking for volunteers for our own podcast, in order to be able to present our listeners with regular podcast episodes that offer an informative added value.

In our podcast "Strong Democracy - the Podcast", activists from the association talk to personalities from politics, civil society and research. We discuss the core topic of the association, hate and violence against local political activists. Our target group are municipal office holders and politically interested citizens.

In order for our podcast to appear regularly and generate greater reach, we are looking for volunteer support in the following areas:

• Research and correspondence
  • Identification of potential interview guests
  • Researching background information about the guests and relevant topics
  • Contacting and communicating with interview guests
• Moderation
• Social media and promotion
  • Creating and managing posts to promote the project and respective episodes
• Show notes and blog posts
  • Writing summaries, background information and accompanying texts for each episode

You can choose between one and several activities.

Since we mainly collaborate digitally using tools like Slack, Zoom and the Google Workspace, a PC/notebook with working camera and microphone is a mandatory requirement as well as German language skills, at least on B2 level.

What else should you bring with you?

• Enthusiasm and basic understanding of politics and our free, democratic system
• Interest in the topic of preventing hate and violence against local politicians
• Team spirit, communication skills and enjoyment in dealing with people
• Experience with digital applications such as Zoom, Google Drive, etc.
