Become a fundraising team member and help us build collaborations with new foundations

Would you like to join us in working for more educational equality in Germany? Are you looking for a volunteer position that is flexible in terms of time and independent of location? You would like to become part of a still young, growing association? And you would like to get involved in the area of fundraising management? Then read on...

You work together with the Lern-Fair board and build up the cooperation with new foundations. Furthermore you take over the contact management with existing foundations. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in working with funders and also brings responsibility (our current largest funder supports us with 300.000€ annually!

Your Tasks

• You research foundations and application possibilities
• You prepare grant proposals and assist in writing grant proposals
• You coordinate people who support the writing process
• You establish and maintain contact with various foundations
• You prepare and follow up on foundation appointments
• You communicate regular updates to foundations

What's needed

• High intrinsic motivation to work for more educational justice
• Experience in teamwork (ideally in the context of another volunteer position)
• Previous experience is great, but not essential
• Sufficient time and flexibility to regularly volunteer with the team over the long term, participate in calls, and be active on our Slack communication platform: at least 3h/week would be ideal - with the exception of semester breaks, exam periods, and/or vacation time, when everyone is understanding when less happens in the team
• Ideally experience in remote work and communication
• Interest and motivation to get involved in new topics and areas or to read up on them independently

Time required

The most important thing is your motivation for the project. If educational justice is really important to you, then you are exactly right with us in the team. You can work very flexibly - just a few hours a week are enough. Don't worry if you have an exam period, we will understand if you work less hours.

This project is location independent.

To relieve parents and students during the Corona crisis and to ensure a safe and reliable learning atmosphere, the Corona School arranges contact between pupils and students for virtual learning support.
