About the volunteering opportunity
Would you like to campaign for better educational opportunities for children? Preferably digitally and for a manageable period of time? Then our "Fit for Five" project is ideal for you.
The leap from elementary school to secondary school is a major challenge, especially for children with difficult starting conditions: more learning material, a new environment, unfamiliar teachers.
The online mentoring project "Fit for Five" is there to help them make the transition confidently and without worries. As a digital mentor, you will accompany a child online for one hour a week over a period of six months. The focus is on the German language and the key skill of reading, general transition topics and learning and working behavior.
As a digital mentor, you can strengthen a child in 1:1 contact in the run-up to the transition and make them fit for fifth grade.
Your Tasks
The weekly learning units are designed in such a way that the focus is on having fun while learning together and mentor and mentee grow together to form a really good team.
