About the volunteering opportunity
Would you like to work for better educational opportunities for children? Preferably digitally and for a manageable period of time? Then our "Fit for Five" project is ideal for you.
Especially for children with difficult starting conditions, the leap from elementary school to secondary school is a big challenge: more learning material, a new environment, unfamiliar teachers.
The online mentoring project "Fit for Five" is designed to help children make the transition confidently and without worry. Over a period of six months, you will accompany a child online for an hour once a week as a digital mentor. The focus is on the German language and the key competency of reading, general transition topics, and learning and working behavior.
As a digital mentor, you can strengthen a child in 1:1 contact in the run-up to the transition and make them fit for the fifth grade.

The weekly learning units are designed in such a way that the focus is on having fun while learning together and mentor and mentee grow together to form a really good team.
