Chancenwerk e.V. campaigns for fair educational opportunities at cooperating schools throughout Germany. The association supports children and young people in their academic and individual development at partner schools with its learning support.

For our school team in Duisburg , we are looking for a school team coordinator (m/f/d) who will work with us to help students recognize and develop their potential.

Your Tasks

• As a school team coordinator (m/f/d), you will be in contact with children, young people, students, teachers and parents.
• You organize the implementation of our pedagogical concept and accompany the team at the school.
• You take care of the registration of children, the induction of students and the exchange with teachers.

What's needed

• You have time twice a week in the afternoon.
• You like to take responsibility.
• You enjoy organizing processes, working with parents and providing pedagogical support.
• You are interculturally oriented and reliable.
• If you do not cover all the points: no problem. If you bring a hands-on attitude and enjoy implementing creative ideas and solutions, then convince us in this way as well.

• Lead a small team.
• Be a role model and companion.
• Develop yourself personally and professionally, also in the context of workshops and team meetings.
• Receive a certificate of voluntary commitment.

As voluntary school team coordination (m/w/d) you will receive from us a flat expense allowance of 30.00 € per assignment (120 min.). You pay no tax for this lump sum and it is not counted against your BAföG etc.

Driven by their own experiences in the German education system, the brother and sister team Şerife and Murat Vural founded Chancenwerk e.V. in 2004, a nationwide organization that works to promote educational equality for children and young people. The core of our support concept is the learning cascade, which is based on the principle of "taking help and giving help". Older students help younger students with their school tasks under the guidance of learning guides.

This give-and-take principle brings many benefits, so that school grades improve and social skills of each individual are strengthened. Young people learn to organize themselves and share their knowledge. This increases their self-confidence in their own abilities and their sense of responsibility towards others grows. Last but not least, new friendships can be made through the encounter in the learning support, which also have an effect on the school climate outside the learning support.
