About the volunteering opportunity
We are an initiative at a very early stage. We launched the Wahlheymat on International Democracy Day on September 15, 2023. Our goal is to create a Berlin where everyone can feel at home. Where everyone feels respected, heard and equal. Regardless of origin.
More than a third of Berlin's citizens come from 190 countries. Berlin is the true definition of tolerance, resilience and a diversity of voices. The city of unlimited possibilities, where walls have fallen, systems have been broken and history has been made. Our goal is to make the next chapter of its history as diverse and inclusive as its community - both native and newcomer.
We are looking for people who are willing to be part of this journey and make it possible for all people in Berlin to feel at home - including as social media content creators.
Your Tasks
- Co-design of the social media presence of Wahlheymat
- Content creation (texts, visuals) for Linkedin and … (other Channels might be follows - based on the strategy)
- Collaboration with the core team
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Interest in shaping democracy
- Passion for creative storytelling and creating a wide variety of content (text, image and other formats)
- Ideally experience from studies or profession from one of the following fields: Journalism, Marketing & Communications, Social Media, Branding & Advertising, Public Relations, etc.
- Opennes, can do attitude
- Joy for collaboration, co-creation and happy to take the responsibility and work alone

Working hours are flexible, approximately 1-4 hours / week.

This project is location independent.
