About the volunteering opportunity
Her German level is A1 and she speaks very little German so far.
She needs support in learning for a language course and help in learning important everyday vocabulary would also be good.
The meetings could ideally take place in the accommodation where the woman lives. There is a study room there.
Learning materials can be provided by the AWO Volunteer Agency.
Your Tasks
You will meet with the woman regularly and help her improve her German.
What's needed
A prerequisite for regular visits to a refugee shelter is proof of measles protection (born in 1973 or later) and an extended certificate of good conduct from the police.
There is no fee for applying for the certificate of good conduct.
Time required
It would be best in the morning, because then her children are in daycare.
Eventually also meetings on the weekend possible.
Important notice
The placement follows after an appointment with the volunteer agency.
