About the volunteering opportunity

The aim is to accompany refugees to doctor's appointments and/or visits to the authorities and to translate conversations and forms, if necessary. We are currently looking for volunteers who speak Turkish, Farsi, Dari, Ukrainian, Russian, Arabic or various Eastern European languages, for example. If you can speak one of these languages, please get in touch with us.

Your Tasks

You pick up the person you are looking after at their accommodation and accompany them to the authorities or to the doctor. You help them fill out forms and translate texts and conversations. Afterwards, you go back to the accommodation together.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.

In addition to German, you have one of the above-mentioned language skills, are patient, empathetic, open-minded, socially minded and helpful.

Time required

Regularly
Approx. 3 hours per week.
On weekdays, during the day

The time commitment also depends on the waiting times at authorities or doctor offices.
