About the volunteering opportunity

The accommodation for Ukrainian refugees is just a three-minute walk from the Moosfeld U2 underground station. The 194 bus stops directly in front of the accommodation. We are looking for someone who can interpret sign language for a deaf Ukrainian woman when she visits the doctor or the authorities.

Your Tasks

You pick the lady up at her accommodation and accompany her to the doctor, possibly also to the authorities. There you will provide sign language interpreting. Afterwards, you accompany her home again.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.

Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is an advantage, knowledge of sign language is a prerequisite, you should have patience and empathy.

Time required

Regularly
Approx. 3 hours per week.
On weekdays, during the day

The exact number of hours depends, among other things, on the waiting times at the doctor's office. It may also be that you are not needed weekly, but only every 2 weeks.
