About the volunteering opportunity
Are you passionate about positive change and want to make a difference? Then you've come to the right place!
We are looking for a Content Creation Volunteer (m/f/d) to help us realize our mission in the field of chimpanzee rescue, species conservation and educational work in southern Africa.
ABOUT US
Chimfunshi e.V. is a dedicated non-profit organization that, together with the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Trust in Zambia, is committed to saving chimpanzees and protecting animals and nature. By taking in over 150 chimpanzees, caring for wild animals and engaging in educational work, Chimfunshi combines species and animal protection with helping people in Zambia to help themselves.
Your Tasks
In your role as a Content Creation Volunteer you will:
● Develop strategies for donor communication as part of a team.
● Conduct competitor analysis and topic research.
● Work closely with the communications team in Zambia.
● Create content for newsletters, mailings and our website
● Develop and implement social media campaigns as part of the team to promote our donation marketing.
What's needed
● German as mother tongue and fluent English.
● Proven experience in creating content (ideally in the online sector - e.g. through freelance work, internships or your own blog).
● Experience with content management systems (e.g. WordPress) and, ideally, SEO.
● You have good analytical skills.
● You enjoy working with and on text and it is not difficult for you to focus on the objective of communication.
● Enthusiasm for species conservation and enjoy spreading our message
● Strong communication skills and creativity.
Time required
● At least 5 hours per week (flexible time management)
● Flexible working from home, at our office in Berlin or from the other side of the world as required with regular Zoom meetings in the team (as required)

The Chimfunshi e.V. is committed to the protection of endangered chimpanzees and supports the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage in Zambia. It is the largest sanctuary for chimpanzees that no longer have a natural home. Over 150 chimpanzees and numerous local wild animals are cared for on an area of more than 10,000 hectares. 70 employees and their families live on the site. Chimfunshi provides them with income, housing and basic medical care and also runs a school that is attended by around 220 children from the region.
