About the volunteering opportunity
Do you like exercise (dance, gymnastics, etc.) and enjoy working with children? Then we might have the right volunteer position for you!
We, the AWO Family Center am Fennpfuhl (Lichtenberg), are looking for a person who can set up and offer a long-term exercise program for children aged 2 to 4 years. An exercise room with (yoga) mats, sports and play equipment (juggling balls, juggling cloths, ...), a wall bars and two benches is available. The exercise program should take place on a weekday afternoon (from 4:00 p.m.).
The family center is located in the "Haus der Begegnung", which also houses the AWO children's and youth club "Judith Auer" and the projects "Stadtteilmütter" and "Elternbegleitung". It sees itself as a place of encounter, tolerance, appreciation and education. Our main target group is families, especially those with children aged 0 to 6. But older siblings, (grand)parents and other people from the neighborhood are also welcome! Here you can get in touch with others, relax, laugh and be creative. You can learn new things or teach others. We have a varied monthly program with recurring offers.

Your Tasks
- Development of the new offer in coordination with the coordinator of the family center
- Implementation of the exercise program (1x per week)
- Set-up and dismantling at the weekly appointments

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

We advise interested parties on the opportunities and framework conditions for volunteering in the district association's facilities and projects.
We place interested volunteers in a suitable placement.
