About the volunteering opportunity

For Mrs. P., a 74-year-old resident of our shared apartment "WG Boxhagener Kiez", we are looking for a volunteer caregiver for individual one-to-one care. Ms. P. would like the opportunity to work with volunteers who can adapt to her needs. Due to her mobility restrictions, she is unable to leave the house, but would like to spend time in the courtyard and sit on a bench there. Mrs. P. has dementia and it is too strenuous for her to walk long distances. She enjoys the company of children and can remember music well, even lyrics are still accessible to her. Her memories of her time near an American barracks, where she learned English, are particularly interesting for her.
Your commitment can make a great contribution to Mrs. P.'s well-being and quality of life by providing her with regular entertainment and company.

Thank you in advance for your valuable support!

Your Tasks

  • Regular visits to Mrs. P., ideally in the courtyard of the shared flat
  • Consideration of Mrs. P.'s preferences (children and her fascination with music and memories from her past)
