About the volunteering opportunity
We are YouCan! and are developing an app for young people with cancer as part of a young, interdisciplinary team. The aim of the app is to accompany and support young people in their fight against cancer during the lengthy therapy.
The app offers a variety of target group-specific functionalities that promote conscious disease management, among other things. With the help of regular documentation and recapitulation of their own treatment progress, daily mood and symptom surveys as well as age-appropriate information and psychoeducational content, the YouCan! App encourages young people to consciously deal with the ups and downs of the illness and thus helps them to gain new courage. In the app, young people can also network with other young people affected, share their experiences and thus support each other.
We are looking for motivated people to support us in our mission in order to continue developing the app and make it available nationwide as quickly as possible.
