Support housekeeping in a refugee shelter!

We are looking for volunteers to support our housekeeping team in their daily tasks at the Askanierring reception center: Preparing the residents' rooms for admission, supervising the laundry room, hygiene distribution, cleaning, collecting garbage on the premises, etc. 

Our facility is home to over 300 refugees who move into cleaned, prepared rooms, are regularly given hygiene products and are expected to wash and clean. To be able to guarantee this, we need a few helping hands.

Your Tasks

• help housekeeping prepare the rooms for the admission of new residents
• Look after the washroom
• help with the hygiene distribution
• clean up
• Collect garbage on the premises

Time required

The times are agreed individually.

Important notice

• Extended certificate of good conduct (free of charge for volunteers; we can take care of the application on request)
• Proof of immunization against measles (for people born after 1969)

The facility in Askanierring is a first accommodation for refugees who are new in Berlin. Temporary accommodation can accommodate up to 250 people of all ages and from different countries of origin.
