About the volunteering opportunity

We finally have a classroom in our accommodation!
It is therefore time to learn the German language with our residents.
The people in our arrival facility are still very new to Germany and often speak little or no German. Some communicate in English, but others can only speak their native language.

There are currently long waiting lists and little capacity in the integration courses and public German courses. This is often frustrating, as most new arrivals would like to start a language course straight away and then become increasingly demotivated the longer they wait. We want to change this and offer courses right from the start and are therefore looking for volunteer German teachers. There are no high demands, small progress and language skills often help people to cope with everyday life here more easily until a place in the official integration courses becomes available.

Your Tasks

Organization and implementation of language courses. Flexible planning.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
